Remia reduces CO2 emissions by 30% using inland waterways

Logistics Manager Cees van Driel:
“Handling from factory to delivery on the international site in one hand: efficient!”

09/08/2013 – Recently Remia switched to inland waterway shipping for transporting export containers to the Rotterdam and Antwerp harbours. Using this modality, the leading producer of margarine, mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, salad dressings and sauces not only cuts down expenses significantly, but also reduces over 30% CO2 emissions. The inland shipping is organised by logistics service provider Van Uden, via Container Terminal Utrecht.
